The former service rifle of the Italian army, the BM59 is based of the American M1 Garand but with many upgrades, such as a 20 round magazine, rifle-grenade launcher, bipod, and a fullauto mode. It fires 7.62x51mm NATO. It is seen being used by Five Republics Faction members.
